Balangiga Press publishes plays, stories, essays, and novels that interrogate the society, the existing establishments, and other area specific issues relevant to vulnerable communities.
The texts that we produce should encourage our readers to participate in the construction and negotiations of meanings that should end up as our reality. Reading for us is a political act and to participate in textual production is a political decision.
Reading, production, and access to texts for Balangiga Press should always be aligned to an existing democratic and people-centered movement that interrogates or challenges the status quo.
